Sentosa is an island of paid peaks and free sand. Universal Studios, Singapore Oceanarium (the rebuilt S.E.A. Aquarium, 22 zones, typical hours daily 10am–8pm) and Adventure Cove eat a full day and a full wallet. Palawan, Siloso and Tanjong beaches are free once you're on the island — Palawan is the family lagoon, with a rope bridge to the southernmost point of continental Asia. HydroDash is the inflatable aqua park off that lagoon: Monday–Wednesday 12pm–6pm, last session 5pm — the last session is 5pm; 1-hour S$31 / 2-hour S$52, min age 6 and 1.1m, you must swim (thepalawansentosa.com/hydrodash). Harry Potter: Visions of Magic is downstairs at WEAVE B1 — not inside USS, Monday–Sunday 11am–10pm, last entry 8pm — it closes at 10pm, last entry 8pm; admission from $39 children 4–12 / $49 adults 13+, its own timed ticket (harrypottervisionsofmagic.com/sg).
Don't try to do USS and the Oceanarium in one day. Pick a theme (rides, water, beach, or the fort) and a way in. The Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity Lobby F, Level 1 is free, sheltered, and the honest budget door. Sentosa Express from VivoCity Lobby L, Level 3 is $4 island admission (unlimited rides once inside; first train 7am, last midnight — the last train is midnight, sentosa.com.sg) — alight Resorts World for USS and the Oceanarium, Beach Station for the sand, Fort Siloso, Wings of Time and AltitudeX (the indoor wind tunnel formerly branded iFly, 43 Siloso Beach Walk #01-01). SkyHelix Sentosa is the open-air gondola at Imbiah Lookout, 41 Imbiah Road: 79 metres, about 12 minutes, daily 10am–9.30pm, last admission 9pm — it closes at 9.30pm, last admission 9pm (sentosa.com.sg). It is not USS and it is not the cable car — Imbiah is between Beach Station and Resorts World, or a cable-car stop. KidZania Singapore is the Palawan indoor city: 31 Beach View #01-01/02, daily 10am–6pm, book a slot (kidzania.com.sg). Cable car from Mount Faber or HarbourFront Tower 2 is the other view. Halloween Horror Nights 14 is a separate night ticket at USS: 18 select nights 25 September–1 November 2026, 7.30pm–12.30am, not recommended under 13, from S$68 non-peak / S$78 peak (rwsentosa.com). Trick or Thrills daytime (1 September–1 November) is included in a regular USS day ticket. Official USS hours are daily 10am–8pm except 10am–6pm on 21, 23, 25 and 26 September 2026, then 1–3, 8–10, 15–17, 22–24, 29–31 October and 1 November; 10am–7pm on 28 October and listed November private-event dates (sentosa.com.sg). it is 10am–8pm on a full day. 25 and 26 September are 10am–6pm. Twilight Thrill is the 4pm entry, S$85 adult with a S$20 F&B voucher (sentosa.com.sg) — it is not a full day and it is not HHN. On a 6pm park (21, 23, 25, 26 September) that ticket is two hours; skip it. Lights, Camera, Action! is closed 16 September–31 October 2026. Adventure Cove is Monday–Friday and Sunday 10am–5pm, Saturday 10am–8pm except 26 September 2026 (10am–5pm) (sentosa.com.sg). Singapore Oceanarium's own board lists remaining early closes at 4pm on 2, 15, 18, 21, 22, 29 and 31 October and 19, 20, 28 and 29 November; 2pm on 1 October and 6 and 13 November; full-day close 5 December (singaporeoceanarium.com/en/visit/operating-hours). The Marine Mammal Habitat viewing panel is shut until further notice. Into the Glowcean, 5 September–1 November, is included in a standard ticket. Do not stack a USS day with HHN the same night unless the group is made of iron — and the remaining September 10am–6pm days are 25 and 26 September.
Fort Siloso, Singapore's only preserved coastal fort and a National Monument, is the free history most visitors skip. Skywalk lift 9am–10pm — it closes at 10pm (sentosa.com.sg); exhibits and Surrender Chambers are 10am–6pm, last entry 5.30pm. Beach Station, then Sentosa Bus A or the beach shuttle to Siloso Point. Sunset SUP at Tanjong and the luge are the other two things that feel unlike the rest of Singapore.
Getting there
HarbourFront MRT (NE1/CC29). Boardwalk: VivoCity Lobby F, Level 1 — free walk onto the island. Sentosa Express: VivoCity Lobby L, Level 3, $4 standard island admission, EZ-Link and contactless cards at the gantry; the last train is midnight (sentosa.com.sg); alight Resorts World Station for USS or Beach Station for Palawan, Siloso and Tanjong. SkyHelix is Imbiah Lookout — walk or tram from Beach Station toward Imbiah, or the cable car stops there. Cable car: HarbourFront Tower 2 or Faber Peak. Bus 123 also runs onto the island.

Weekday mornings for USS and water parks. Official USS hours daily 10am–8pm — it is 10am–8pm on a full day. The remaining September 10am–6pm days are 25 and 26 September 2026 and the listed October/1 November HHN-setup dates); 10am–7pm on 28 October (sentosa.com.sg). Twilight Thrill is from 4pm — not on a 6pm day. Is Sentosa free?
The boardwalk and cycling in are free. Beaches are free once you're on the island. Sentosa Express is $4 island admission from VivoCity (concession $2); the last train is midnight (sentosa.com.sg). USS, Oceanarium, waterpark, luge and AltitudeX (formerly iFly) are ticketed. Attraction tickets often bundle island entry.
USS or Adventure Cove?
USS if anyone in the group likes rides. Adventure Cove if you have young kids or it's 32°C. Official Cove hours: Monday–Friday and Sunday 10am–5pm; Saturday 10am–8pm except 26 September 2026 (10am–5pm) (sentosa.com.sg). Legend Keepers / Pool Party Panic overlay 1 September–1 November is in a standard ticket. Do not stack it with USS.
How long do I need?
A beach afternoon, or a full attraction day. Not both.
Which Sentosa Express stop for the beach?
Beach Station. Then the free beach tram along Siloso, Palawan and Tanjong. Same stop for Fort Siloso — continue on Bus A or the beach shuttle to Siloso Point.
Is Fort Siloso free?
Yes. General admission to the fort, Skywalk and Surrender Chambers is free once you are on the island (island entry is separate if you took the Express). Exhibits are 10am–6pm, last entry 5.30pm. Skywalk lift 9am–10pm — it closes at 10pm (sentosa.com.sg).

KidZania or USS?
USS if anyone in the group likes rides. KidZania at 31 Beach View #01-01/02, Palawan, is the indoor role-play city — daily 10am–6pm, book a slot (kidzania.com.sg). Different job, different station (Beach vs Resorts World). Do not stack them.
SkyHelix or the cable car?
Cable car if you want Faber Peak and the harbour crossing from HarbourFront Tower 2. SkyHelix at Imbiah Lookout is the open-air gondola to 79 metres — daily 10am–9.30pm, last admission 9pm (sentosa.com.sg), about 12 minutes. it closes at 9.30pm, last admission 9pm. They share Imbiah as a stop. Do not stack SkyHelix with USS; it is the view if the park is not the day.
Is Halloween Horror Nights included in a USS day ticket?
No. HHN 14 is a separate night event at Universal Studios Singapore: 18 select nights 25 September–1 November 2026, 7.30pm–12.30am, four haunted houses, two scare zones, not recommended under 13 (rwsentosa.com). Non-peak from S$68; peak S$78. Trick or Thrills daytime (1 September–1 November) is the Halloween overlay included in regular park admission. Official day-park hours drop to 10am–6pm on 21, 23, 25 and 26 September 2026, then the listed October/1 November setup dates (sentosa.com.sg) — last admission is the posted close. Lights, Camera, Action! is closed 16 September–31 October 2026. Do not treat HHN and the day ticket as the same, and do not plan an 8pm last ride on a 6pm date.
