HarbourFront & Mount Faber

HarbourFront is a transport machine that happens to own one of the best walks in Singapore. Mount Faber Park is 56 hectares, free, 24 hours (nparks.gov.sg) — one of the oldest parks on the island, no wheelchair access. Marang Trail is the honest door: 700 metres of footpath and stairs from the junction leading to the Seah Im Food Centre carpark, about 15 minutes up (NParks). Henderson Waves is the 274-metre timber wave-form bridge, 36 metres up, seven undulating ribs that double as alcoves — Singapore's tallest pedestrian bridge, LED-lit 7pm–2am daily (nparks.gov.sg). The cable car to Faber Peak and Sentosa is the paid treat: 8.45am–10pm daily, last boarding 9.30pm — the cable car closes at 10pm, last boarding 9.30pm (sentosa.com.sg). Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure runs on the Mount Faber Line through 21 January 2027 — 18 themed cabins, UV torch from 7.45pm (Mount Faber Leisure press release, 28 May 2026 / mountfaberleisure.com). It is the same Sky Pass, not a second ticket. VivoCity is the mall you use, not the destination. NParks still flags a Mount Faber Loop footpath closed from 14 January 2025 — use the posted alternative between Henderson Waves and Mount Faber Peak. Car Park D is shut for slope works until December 2026; use C.

Do the ridges in the late afternoon, catch golden hour on the bridge, then ride the cable car as the port lights come on. Telok Blangah Hill Park is the 34-hectare ridge on the other side of Henderson Waves: 24 hours except the Earth Trail (do not enter after 7pm). Forest Walk is the 1.3 km elevated walkway at canopy height plus the harder Earth Trail (nparks.gov.sg). The 2023 slope-failure closure is no longer on the NParks board; current notices are Forest Walk sections unlit 7pm–7am until 30 September 2026 (nparks.gov.sg), and a footpath below the Therapeutic Garden closed 13 June 2025–31 March 2028. Terrace Garden is the semi-circular lookout; Sembcorp Forest of Giants is the threatened-tree arboretum. Birdwatching 7–9am at the Singing Forest. HortPark at 33 Hyderabad Road is the NParks gardening end of the ridges — free, 6am–11pm, 10.7 hectares — it closes at 11pm; weekday visitor services end at 5pm (they reopen at 1pm; 9am–12pm and 1–5pm, nparks.gov.sg). Labrador Park MRT (CC27) is closer than HarbourFront if you start there. Labrador Nature Reserve and Nature Park sit along Labrador Villa Road: 22 hectares, park areas 24 hours, nature-reserve section 7am–7pm — the reserve closes at 7pm, pets only on boardwalks and park (nparks.gov.sg). Keppel Coastal Trail, a Dragon's Teeth Gate replica, and WWII relics on the headland. NParks (2026): the Casemate and Rocky Shore are closed; Berlayar Creek boardwalk is shut 3 June 2026–31 March 2027 for improvement works. Gillman Barracks is the other CC27 Exit A walk: former British camp, now a contemporary-art precinct at 9 Lock Road, about 10–15 minutes via Alexandra Road. The grounds are free; galleries keep their own clocks (SLA, September 2026 — FOST Tuesday–Saturday 11am–7pm, Mizuma, Yavuz and most others Tuesday–Saturday from 11am, many closed Mondays) — most galleries open at 11am (fostgallery.com / sla.gov.sg). Reflections at Bukit Chandu at 31-K Pepys Road is the WWII bungalow about the Malay Regiment's last stand: Tuesday–Sunday 9.30am–5pm, last admission 4.30pm — it closes at 5pm, last admission 4.30pm (heritage.sg). Cashless only from 1 April 2025. Citizens and PRs (pink/blue NRIC) and children 6 and under free; tourist adult S$7* / concession S$5* / family of 5 (max 3 adults) S$21* (GST extra). A National Museum or Changi Chapel stub knocks S$2 off for three months. Pasir Panjang (CC26) Exit A, then 15–20 minutes uphill on Pepys Road. No on-site parking — Kent Ridge Park Carpark C is about 100m downslope. Singapore Art Museum is not on Bras Basah — the building you can enter is at Tanjong Pagar Distripark, 39 Keppel Road #01-02, daily 10am–7pm including public holidays, last entry 6.30pm (singaporeartmuseum.sg). Cantonment (CC31) Exit 1. Hiroshi Sugimoto: Form Is Emptiness is extended through 11 October 2026 (singaporeartmuseum.sg). Tourist adult S$20 / citizens and PRs S$15. Maria Taniguchi: Afterimage is the other current room — 24 July–22 November 2026, Level 3 Gallery 3, General Admission, locals free (singaporeartmuseum.sg). SAM is open daily, including public holidays; Reflections is closed on Mondays. It is a rainy south-side hour, not a Labrador substitute.

Batam ferries no longer leave from inside HarbourFront Centre. From July 2026 they use the new HarbourFront Ferry Terminal at 5 HarbourFront Avenue — about 70 metres from the old counters, behind HarbourFront Tower 2. Sindo Ferry lists counter #01-11 there from 15 July 2026; Batam Fast moved 7 July. Different day, different passport. The ridges can run all the way to Kent Ridge if you have a half-day and water. Most people do Mount Faber → Henderson Waves → Telok Blangah and stop.

• Seah Im Food Centre, 2 Seah Im Road — SLA-managed hawker next to HarbourFront Bus Interchange (the only hawker not under NEA). HarbourFront Exit A, across Telok Blangah Road. Eat here before the cable car or after the cliff. Stalls keep their own clocks
