Pulau Ubin is twelve minutes and fifty years from Changi Point. Bumboats run on demand about 6am–7pm, cash, typically S$4 each way when about 12 people board, extra for a bicycle (NParks). There is no Grab. If the Ubin jetty is empty on the way home, call NParks 1800-471-7300. Confirm the fare before you sit down.
Pick one ridge. The sunrise mangrove kayak is the hosted water morning — Chek Jawa is a bike ride to the east, not that paddle. Chek Jawa Wetlands are free, 7am–7pm; DIY boards 9am–5pm; about 3 km from the jetty (pulau-ubin.nparks.gov.sg). Best at tides of 0.5 m or below. The guided intertidal tour has been listed as suspended for pontoon works — the boardwalk and Jejawi Tower stay open.
The longer island essay is the last kampong. This clock gets you on a boat back before the heat argues. Village breakfast is mandatory. Pack water. Wild boar are not a photo prop. Woodlands Waterfront is the other jetty — TE1, Johor, not this bumboat.

Changi Point Ferry Terminal
51 Lorong Bekukong, next to Changi Village. Buses 2, 29, 59, 109 to Changi Village (99009). Cash. Boats leave when full. The Changi page is Jewel and the village; do not add the Rain Vortex to this morning.
7:00 AM
Kayak, or bike east
Hosted paddle: briefing on Ubin, mangroves at first light, village breakfast in the booking. DIY: rent a bike at the jetty, ride to Punai Hut lots, walk Chek Jawa loops. Puaka Hill and Ketam Quarry are separate from this half-day.
9:30 AM
Village breakfast, then the boat
NParks lists Encik Hassan's (weekends), Cheong Lian Yuen, Sin Nam Huat and Season Live Seafood by the jetty. Sensory Trail is the 1.5 km easy alternative if Chek Jawa is not the day. Be on a boat with a margin — last boats around 7pm, but a half-day should be gone by late morning.
Do not stack
- Kayak plus Chek Jawa plus Puaka Hill before 7pm — greedy, and you will miss the boat
- Jewel Canopy Park the same morning — that is a landside layover
- Assuming the guided mudflat tour is running — check the Chek Jawa listing
- Woodlands Waterfront as the boat — that is a Causeway jetty, not Ubin

Do I book the bumboat?
No. Show up, pay cash, wait for a boatload. You can buy out empty seats at a higher fare if you are in a hurry — confirm before boarding.
Kayak or Chek Jawa?
Kayak for mangroves and sunrise with a guide. Chek Jawa for the boardwalk and tower. Both in one half-day only if you started at dawn and dropped everything else.
Last boat?
Usually around 7pm. Confirm with the boatman on the way out. After 7pm is a private arrangement at a higher fare.
Is Woodlands the same kind of jetty?
No. Woodlands Waterfront is TE1 — a strait, not this island. This clock is Changi Point cash boats.
