Where to watch the sunset in Singapore

Sunset is when Singapore comes back outdoors, once the heat has let go. These are the places where the evening light is the reason to go: hilltop terraces, bridges and riverbanks, a north-coast jetty, beach clubs on Sentosa, and boats that time their sailings for golden hour.

Costs run from nothing to a full dinner. A walk up Mount Faber, across the Helix Bridge or out along a jetty is free, the Singapore Flyer and the cable car are tickets, and a tall-ship dinner is a night out in itself. We'd get there a little early and pick a spot before the light turns.
