The take

The Singapore Food Agency's seafood hub at the mouth of the Jurong River, running since 1969, where the wholesale fish market is open to the public. Register at the guardhouse before you walk in; it's a working port with its own house rules.

Good to know

Open 24 hours a day, closed on Mondays from 2am to 6am

Everyone registers before entering, at the guardhouse kiosks or on SFA's Visitor Management System, which is free

The market has 130 lots on 10,000 square metres, beside a 400-metre wharf
