The take
Before this was a hawker hall of more than 100 cooked-food stalls, it was Yung Sheng Food Centre, one of the first food centres the government built for resettled roadside hawkers. Its 60 stalls earned it the popular name 60 Stalls, and it's a stop on the Jurong Heritage Trail.
Good to know
Opened in July 1972 as Yung Sheng Food Centre with 60 permanent stalls
Rebuilt in 2005 together with the old Market I, one of Jurong's best-known markets for food
