Clementi Woods Park

Jurong will sell you a lake garden and a Tesla coil. Clementi Woods is the other west: 12 hectares of tall trees along West Coast Road, next to the plaza, open 24 hours, and it is not Carpark 3 with better shade. NParks still lists it. Clementi (EW23) is the town-centre door. Haw Par Villa (CC25) is the Ten Courts. They are not interchangeable with a taxi drop at a McDonald's on the strait.

The woods

The woods are the visit if a town park is the point. Wheelchair accessible. An amphitheatre under the canopy. A cycling and inline-skating track NParks actually names. Pets allowed, leashed. It is not West Coast Park. It is not a mangrove. It is a wooded strip the town hid between West Coast Road and the blocks, and it costs nothing.

The fence

Redevelopment from 5 September 2026 closed a section of the park. NParks: redevelopment works from 5 September 2026 closed the stretch marked in red; use the posted alternative. A separate section has been closed since 15 September 2025 for the same works — the blue alternative footpath is the way to Chatsworth Preschool, Kent Vale, Greenhub and the allotment gardens (nparks.gov.sg). The park stays open. Use the posted alternative.

Getting there

Clementi (EW23) is a few minutes to Clementi 448 in the town centre; the woods are along West Coast Road next to West Coast Plaza, a bus, not a pleasant wander across the AYE. Haw Par Villa (CC25) is about fifteen minutes on foot if the Ten Courts were the morning, not a dump at Carpark 3. Kent Ridge (CC24) is dinosaurs, a different door. Pack water. None of these is Jurong East (NS1/EW24). None of these is Marine Parade (TE26).

Breakfast

Clementi 448 at 448 Clementi Avenue 3 is the tray this postcode actually breakfasts at. Reopened 29 June 2026 after three months of R&R from 30 March — Lianhe Zaobao covered the town-council ceremony that morning. Lunch before 12:30, stall clocks still win. Return the tray. Clementi (EW23) is a few minutes. It is not JEM. It is not Old Airport Road. It is what you do the morning you are already on the East-West and refuse a mall food court.

The woods, West Coast Park and Jurong Lake Gardens are three separate mornings. A sequence that actually works: 448 at 7 if the stall you want is open that day. Woods at 9, off the red fence, amphitheatre if the shade is the point. West Coast Park only if a child still has a playground in them — Area 3, Carpark 3, a bus, not a walk across the highway in September. West Coast Park: 50 hectares, 24 hours, nine BBQ pits you book (West Coast Park).

Hell's Museum is the indoor if the heat has arrived and Science Centre is a Monday: daily 10am to 6pm, last entry 5pm, adult S$22 / child 7–12 S$12, under-6s free, not recommended under 9 (hawparvilla.sg). Haw Par Villa (CC25) is one minute to the museum, about fifteen on foot to the woods if you still have legs. The outdoor sculpture grounds stay partially closed from 8 December 2025. Science Centre, Hell's Museum and the woods are three separate visits.

Walking times

Clementi (EW23) to 448: a few minutes. 448 to the woods: a bus toward West Coast Road, not a pleasant wander across the AYE with a full stomach. Haw Par Villa (CC25) to Hell's Museum: one minute. Haw Par Villa to the woods: about fifteen on foot if you came from the courts. Woods to West Coast Park Carpark 3: a bus. The highway is not a walking route. Kent Ridge (CC24) to Lee Kong Chian: a campus walk, last admission 4:30pm, closed typical Mondays. Pack water.

Monday

Monday on this strip is still a park. The woods are 24 hours. The red fence is still there. Hell's Museum is daily. Science Centre is closed on a typical Monday. Lee Kong Chian is closed Mondays. KidsSTOP is closed typical Mondays. 448's stall clocks still win. JEM is the mall. A Monday here is a 7:15am tray and an empty canopy. Science Centre opens Tuesday on a typical week.

A sequence that fits. 448 at 7. Woods at 9, off the closed stretch. West Coast Park only if a child peaked on trees. Hell's Museum at 11, last look 5. Ghim Moh is the other tray if you came off at Buona Vista instead. Kent Ridge Park is the Southern Ridges west end. Labrador is the cliff. NUS UTown is the campus lawn. None of these is Carpark 3. Reflections at Bukit Chandu, then Henderson Waves; the reserve is 7am–7pm (Labrador). Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden run 5:30am to midnight (Jurong Is Weird).

Science Centre is eight minutes from Jurong East, Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm, last entry 4:15pm. It is not this park. Clementi 448, the woods and Science Centre are three separate visits. Snow City last day is 30 September 2026. After that the ice is Kallang.

Planning limits
