Woodlands Waterfront Jetty

Kranji will sell you crocodiles. The checkpoint will sell you a queue. Woodlands Waterfront is the other north: 11 hectares along Admiralty Road West, open 24 hours, a 400-metre jetty that is the northernmost point of mainland Singapore, and it is a park, not the checkpoint. NParks last updated the page on 27 January 2026. Woodlands North (TE1) is the door. Woodlands (NS9/TE2) is the library. Admiralty (NS10) is the food court. They are three stations and they are not interchangeable with a taxi drop at the Woodlands Checkpoint.

The jetty

The jetty is the visit if a strait is the point. Four hundred metres, a former naval pier, Johor across the water, the RTS link on the skyline if you look. Cattle egrets near the edge. Long-tailed macaques in the trees — NParks' own sentence is do not feed the monkeys. Fish only in designated areas. Tembusu that flowers in the evening. Sea almond in a pagoda shape. Sea hibiscus if a yellow flower is the hour. The promenade is 1.5 kilometres along the same water. A Tuesday at 7:15am is the civilised hour. A weekday at 6pm is the light. Weekend dusk is a stroller parade. Pack water. There is a vending machine some days.

Getting there

Woodlands North (TE1) Exit 2, then about twelve minutes downslope, one junction, 850 metres if you actually measure it. Carpark along Admiralty West Road: 112 car lots, 27 motorcycle, 3 handicapped. Free 6:30am to 8:30am; fees apply from 8:30am to 6:30am (nparks.gov.sg). Wheelchair accessible. Northern Explorer Loop if you already have a bike. Bus 856 from Woodlands Interchange works if the Thomson-East Coast was a different morning. None of these is Kranji (NS7).

The slides

Admiralty Park is the other green, and it is not a jetty. 27 hectares at 31 Riverside Road, the largest park in the north, open 24 hours except the nature area 7am to 7pm (nparks.gov.sg). Twenty hectares of forest, mangrove, riverine and grassland hold more than 100 species. The nature playgarden is 7 hectares, 26 slides, Junior / Adventure / Family zones, a family slide that takes four, roller slides over 30 metres, Double Barrel slides 23 metres long and 9 metres tall, open 24 hours. The unpaved path in the nature area is not a wheelchair. West carpark: 61 car lots, 11 motorcycle, 2 handicapped, fees 8:30am to 6:30am. Woodlands (NS9/TE2) or Woodlands North, then bus 169 or 903. It is not Palawan Kidz Zone. Pair it with the jetty only if a child is the point and you skipped the library. The slides, the jetty and the hot spring are three separate visits.

Breakfast

Woodlands 888 is the tray this postcode actually suppers at, and it is not a hawker centre. Wan Shun / Bai Sheng at 888 Plaza, 888 Woodlands Drive 50 — a 24-hour food court, stall clocks still win, residents, no sea view. Admiralty (NS10) is closer than Woodlands (NS9) for this door. Return whatever plate they gave you. It is not Old Airport Road and it is not Chong Pang. Chong Pang at 105 Yishun Ring Road is the 1984 wet-market hawker one North-South stop south, Ji De Lai at #01-152, a 2027 move. 888 Plaza and Chong Pang are separate breakfasts. The jetty is a different hour.

Woodlands Regional Library is the indoor if the sky has opened. 900 South Woodlands Drive #01-03, Woodlands Civic Centre, Monday to Sunday 10am to 9pm, closed public holidays, closed 5pm on the eves of Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year (nlb.gov.sg). 11,100 square metres, four storeys, Singapore's first full-fledged regional library when it opened 28 April 2001. Woodlands (NS9) Exit 2 toward Causeway Point; TE2 Exit 7 is the other Civic Centre walk. If you came out onto Woodlands Avenue 3 temples, you took Exit 1 — go back in. Causeway Point is the mall next door, useful, not the visit. The library and Sungei Buloh are different visits.

The jetty, Sungei Buloh and the Zoo are three separate mornings. A sequence that actually works: 888 at 7 if a tray is the hour — stall clocks still win at a 24-hour court. Jetty at 8:30 while the egrets still hunt. Admiralty Park at 10 if a child is the point, nature area off by 7. Library after 10 if the sky opened. Sembawang Hot Spring only if you skipped the slides — 7am to 7pm, cascading pool closed Mondays and Thursdays 11am to 2pm, Canberra (NS12), a pail, 70°C at the tap. Sembawang Hot Spring: cascading pool closed Mondays and Thursdays 11am–2pm; the toe pool is about 40°C (Sembawang Hot Spring).

Woodlands North (TE1) to the jetty: about twelve minutes. Woodlands (NS9) Exit 2 to the library: a sheltered Civic Centre walk. Admiralty (NS10) to 888 Plaza: a neighbourhood walk. Woodlands North to Admiralty Park on bus 169 or 903: the useful door if the slides are the point. Canberra (NS12) to the spring: a different North-South stop. None of these is Khatib (NS14). Pack water.

Monday

Monday on this corner is still a jetty morning. The park is 24 hours. The playgarden does not close. 888's stall clocks still win. The library is 10am to 9pm. The nature area at Admiralty is 7am to 7pm, Mondays included. The cascading pool at Sembawang is closed 11am to 2pm. The Zoo and this jetty are separate Mondays. A Monday here is a 7:15am tray and an empty jetty. The cascading pool reopens after 2pm.

A sequence that fits. 888 at 7. Jetty at 8:30. Admiralty Park if a child still has legs, nature area last look 7. Library at 10 if the sky opened, last look 9. Spring only if you skipped the slides, and only outside the Monday cleaning window. Sembawang Park at 5 if the 30-metre jetty is the other light — bus 882 from Sembawang (NS11), not TE1. Yishun Pond is the hospital garden, 14.5-metre spiral tower, Yishun (NS13), a different North-South stop. Yishun Pond: 2.3 hectares, 24 hours, 14.5m spiral tower behind Khoo Teck Puat (Yishun Hospital Garden). Yishun Pond, this jetty and Sungei Buloh are three separate visits.

Kranji War Memorial is 8am to 6pm, steps, no cafe, a different register if wartime history is why you came north — Kranji (NS7), ten to fifteen minutes on foot from the station, not from this jetty. Sungei Buloh is 7am to 7pm, last entry 6:30pm, Platform 1 closed through 23 October 2026, bus 925 from NS7. Live Turtle Museum is 11 Chencharu Close, 10am to 6pm except Tuesdays, Khatib (NS14). None of these is Admiralty Road West. Marsiling Park — the old Woodlands Town Garden, 12.8 hectares, 24 hours — still has a staircase shut from 15 December 2025 to Q1 2029 and a Ribbon Playscape shut from 31 December 2025 to Q1 2029 (nparks.gov.sg). The park stays open. The Ribbon Playscape stays shut through Q1 2029. The rest of Marsiling Park is open.

Planning limits

Planning limits: the jetty is a park, not the checkpoint. Johor needs a passport. Start in the morning in September. The jetty, the Zoo and the spring are three separate Mondays. Do not feed the macaques.
