Bedok Reservoir Loop

East Coast Park will sell you a lagoon and a 13-kilometre bike. Katong and Joo Chiat will sell you Koon Seng Road. Bedok Reservoir Park is the other east water, a flooded sand quarry. The hop-on bus treats it as a suburb. 41.7 hectares, open 24 hours, a 4.3-kilometre gravel loop 200 metres from Bedok Reservoir MRT (DT30), and NParks last updated the page on 27 January 2026. Bedok (EW5) is the town centre. They are not the same station. The lagoon is a different morning.

Getting there

Bedok Reservoir (DT30) Exit, then 200 metres — NParks is that specific. Carpark A: 91 car lots, 25 motorcycle, 2 handicapped. Carpark B: 83 car, 16 motorcycle, 2 handicapped. Parking fees apply to all of them. The Eastern Coastal Loop of the Park Connector Network is the bike if you already have one. None of these is Marine Parade (TE26). Pack water.

The loop

The loop is the visit if a reservoir is the point. 4.3 kilometres of gravel, flat, water on one side the whole way, about an hour if you actually look. The floating deck sits near the bird-singing area: you sit on the reservoir itself, which is the trick Instagram will not invent for you. Weekend mornings are when the songbirds go up on the wooden cages, uncles arguing about a canary. White-bellied sea eagle possible, not promised — NParks calls it the heaviest resident bird in the country. Golden-bellied gerygone is the smallest. White-breasted waterhen on the edge. Crimson Dropwing if a dragonfly is the hour. This is a quarry that learned to hold drinking water. It is not a beach club.

The ropes

Forest Adventure is the ticketed hour this water actually owns, and it is not the park. 825 Bedok Reservoir Road, Carpark A, Singapore's only treetop obstacle course — forestadventure.com.sg. Kids Course S$38, age 5+, 1.1 metres, about 60 minutes. Junior S$38, age 10+, 1.35 metres, about 75 minutes. Grand Course S$48, age 12+, 1.45 metres, about 150 minutes, three ziplines over the reservoir. Closed-toe sports shoes; sandals bounce. Book a slot; weekends fill; walk-ins only if a slot is left. Opening: Monday 9:30am to 2pm, last Grand departure 12pm; Tuesday to Friday 9:30am to 6pm, last Grand 3pm, last Kids/Junior 4pm; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 9:30am to 6:30pm, last Grand 4pm. The Big Zip is closed until further notice. Accompanying adult 14 or older for under-12s on Grand, under-10s on Junior, under-7s on Kids. It is not Mega Adventure on Sentosa. Pair it with the loop. Chilli crab is a different east.

The kayak is PAssion Wave at 911 Bedok Reservoir Road, and the slug is a liar: sit-on-top rental is Bedok Reservoir, Marina Bay or Jurong Lake Gardens, not the Punggol waterway. People's Association: typically Wednesday to Sunday 9am to 6pm, closed Mondays and public holidays (pa.gov.sg / about PAssion Wave). Confirm on onepa.gov.sg before you taxi — the Bedok outlet page has listed Tuesday office hours that are not the same as a boat. Dragon boats and pedal boats on the same water. PA–NTUC–SAFRA 1-for-1 at Bedok runs through 30 September 2026 for card members; after that date the fare is whatever go.gov.sg/pawvrental says that morning. Calm quarry water. Beginners last longer here than on the East Coast chop. A 9am paddle and a Grand Course are separate hours.

Breakfast

Bedok 85 at 85 Bedok North Street 4 is the tray this postcode actually suppers at. Fengshan Centre, residents, a late grammar, stall clocks win. Fu Zhou oyster cake at #01-39 is typically 8am to 8pm. Sin Bedok North BBQ Chicken Wing at #01-12 typically Tuesday to Sunday from about 3pm. It is not Old Airport Road and it is not a sea view. Bedok Interchange is the other tray, under the buses at Bedok (EW5) — air-con-adjacent, useful, not romantic, lunch before 12:30 if the interchange is the point. Return the tray. DT30 is the reservoir. EW5 is the town.

The reservoir, East Coast Park and Pasir Ris Park are three separate mornings. A sequence that actually works: Interchange or 85 at 7 if breakfast is the hour — stall clocks still win. Loop at 8:30 while the gravel is empty. Forest Adventure at 9:30 if you booked, last Grand 12pm on a Monday. Paddle only if you skipped the ropes, and only Wednesday to Sunday. Bedok Town Park is the lawn next door if a child peaked on ziplines. East Coast Park is a 13km coast; the cycle starts at 6:30am (East Coast Park After the Tiles).

Tampines Eco Green is the other east park if the reservoir was a different morning: 36 hectares at Tampines Avenue 9 and 12, open 24 hours with no lighting at night — NParks tells you to exit by 7pm (nparks.gov.sg, last updated 27 January 2026). Pets banned. No cycling. No fishing. No mass gatherings. Three bird hides, 75 species including Baya Weaver and Purple Heron. Dirt paths inside are not wheelchair accessible; the perimeter footpath is. Tampines MRT then a bus, or 20 minutes through Sun Plaza Park. It is not this loop. It is grassland the town hid between an expressway and a canal, and it costs nothing.

Walking times

Bedok Reservoir (DT30) to the park: 200 metres. Station to Carpark A / Forest Adventure: a few minutes along the water. DT30 to Bedok (EW5): one Downtown-to-East-West change at Tampines or a bus, not a pleasant wander. EW5 to the Interchange hawker: you are already in the building. 85 Bedok North Street 4 from EW5: a neighbourhood walk or a short bus, not DT30. Tampines Eco Green from Tampines: a bus, or through Sun Plaza. None of these is Marine Parade (TE26). Pack water.

Eat after, not on the loop. Marine Parade Food Centre is the other east tray if 85 was a different hour — no sea view, residents, a short hop from the tiles. Tampines Round Market is the round breakfast if you came off at Tampines West (DT31) instead — 137 Tampines Street 11, typically 6:30am to 3pm, stall clocks still win. Our Tampines Hub is the hawker inside a town-sized community club, Tampines (EW2/DT32) Exit F, typically 6am to 10pm. None of these is the Lagoon Food Village. The lagoon is stingray on the sand, a booking if the crab is Jumbo, a different east. Return the tray. Pick one hawker. The quarry is a different hour. Monday

Monday on this water is still a park. The reservoir is 24 hours. The loop does not close. Forest Adventure is 9:30am to 2pm, last Grand 12pm — a short Monday, not a closed one. PAssion Wave is the Monday that is closed. Science Centre is the other Monday that is closed except public holidays and gazetted school holidays. Tampines Eco Green has no lights; be off by 7. The lagoon and this quarry are separate mornings. A Monday here is a 7:15am loop and a tray that is still serving. PAssion Wave opens Wednesday.

A sequence that fits. 85 or Interchange at 7. Loop at 8:30. Forest Adventure at 9:30 if a child is the point and you booked — last Grand 3pm Tuesday to Friday, last Kids 4pm, 4pm Grand on a weekend. Paddle 9am to 6pm Wednesday to Sunday only. Eco Green at 4 if the hides are the hour, off by 7. Wild Wild Wet is 1 Pasir Ris Close, closed Tuesdays, last admission 5pm, a different northeast. Pasir Ris mangrove: 6 hectares in Area 2 near carpark C; boardwalk 1.5km, 1–2 hours (Pasir Ris Park). The lagoon at 6:30am and this quarry at 9 are two mornings. The lagoon still has stingray. This park has a gravel loop and a sea eagle if you sit still.

Planning limits

Planning limits: this is a reservoir, not East Coast. Start the loop in the morning in September. PAssion Wave is closed Mondays. Forest Adventure, chilli crab and the lagoon are three separate visits. No drones on the sea eagle. No dogs in Tampines Eco Green.
